Fujairah Fortress

In 1670 these buildings in the form of a cone played an important defensive role during the attacks of the British. Three huge stone two-storeyed buildings with an area of over 600 sq. km. served as an important strategic point. The guard stood at the top of the towers which had a form of a pyramid. In 1991, after reconstruction, a museum was opened here. Archeology lovers come here to learn more about the history and the great battles.
